GENERAL LIABILITY

   Our general liability team handles matters in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Pennsylvania ranging from simple automobile accidents and slip and fall injuries to complex construction claims, including claims made under the New York Labor Law. In this regard, our general liability team often works closely with our insurance coverage group to pursue all potentially available insurance coverage.

   In addition, our attorneys are experienced in representing public entities, particularly in connection with claims asserted in New Jersey under the New Jersey Tort Claims Act (Title 59). These cases range from simple trip and fall matters to complex claims involving sexual harassment.

   Possibly the most important part of defending any lawsuit is proper evaluation from the outset. Doing so not only allows us to evaluate any potential for early resolution, but also allows us to identify any potential problems and pitfalls so our clients may properly set reserves and take advantage of any opportunities for early settlement.
